🍕 Featured in this week’s Saturday Pizza Post—thank you, Blaine Parker!

I had the opportunity to share a few thoughts on why making pizza at home can be such a powerful (and fun) experience—from creativity to ingredient awareness to simply reconnecting with food.

What I love most about pizza is this:
it’s a canvas.
Small shifts in ingredients, technique, or flavor can completely transform the experience.

And while I’m a big advocate for getting into the kitchen…
let’s be honest—there’s absolutely nothing wrong with ordering a pizza (especially Domino’s 😉).
Sometimes, we just want to kick back and enjoy.

Would you cook at home… if your health depended on it?

We all say we want to eat healthier.
But most of us still rely on restaurants and convenience.

So I keep wondering—

👉 What are we losing when we stop cooking at home?

Because home cooking isn’t just about ingredients.
It’s about adjusting to how you feel…
what your body needs… in that moment.

That’s hard to outsource.

Not everyone has the time—I get it.
But if your body asked for something different…

Would you go back to the kitchen?
Or expect the industry to meet you there?

💬 I’m curious—do you cook for your health, convenience… or not at all?

What is the one dish that instantly brings you back to your family table? 💗
For me, it’s Pork Belly Stir Fry with Pickled Daikon and Peppers—one of my grandmother’s specialty dishes.
Every time I make it, I am transported back to those days in her kitchen… the aroma, the warmth, the feeling of being cared for, and the quiet moments we shared.
As a chef and product developer, I spend my life understanding flavor, texture, and how food creates experience. Yet some dishes are impossible to recreate exactly—because they were never just about the recipe.
Food is emotional.
It does more than fill our stomachs or give us energy.
It holds memories.
It creates comfort.
It can heal us through the emotions it awakens.
Sometimes the most powerful ingredient is not on the recipe card—it is love.
What dish brings you back home?

For years, my work has centered around food innovation—helping brands create products that are functional, meaningful, and aligned with how people truly live.

But behind that work, there has always been a deeper belief:
Food is not just nutrition.
It is personalization.

This is why I’ve been building Life Personalized—a space focused on Body Constitution, personalized living, and helping women better understand transitions like perimenopause.
Perimenopause is not random.
Our bodies show patterns.

When we understand our body constitution, we can make better choices—food, lifestyle, movement, and rest that truly support us.
In the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing more insights around perimenopause, personalized living, and how food can become part of that conversation.
Because wellness should never be one-size-fits-all.
It should be personal.

Every day, we are bombarded with advice about what is “good” for us—what to eat, how to exercise, what supplements to take, how to live better.

But the truth is, we often already hold the answers within ourselves.

We are the ones who feel our energy, our digestion, our sleep, our moods, and the subtle signals our body gives us every day.

Health is not about following every trend. Sometimes, it begins by letting go of the habits that quietly work against us—overworking, poor rest, stress, cold foods, or eating in ways that don’t truly support us.

The key is learning what suits your own body constitution.

When we understand our body better, we can choose food, movement, and lifestyle practices that nourish us instead of draining us.

Personalized living begins with listening.

Perimenopause is not your body failing you.

It is your body entering a new season.
Like autumn prepares the earth for winter, perimenopause is your body preparing for its next stage—not an ending, but a transition.

Too often, we are taught to fear hot flashes, mood swings, fatigue, and hormonal changes. But what if this phase is not something to fight… but something to understand?

When we learn our Body Constitution, we begin to see why some women feel exhausted, others feel overheated, and some struggle with digestion, sleep, or emotional overwhelm.
There is no one-size-fits-all answer.

Your body has its own language.

Understanding your body constitution helps you choose the right foods, the right movement, and the right lifestyle to support this season with more ease and resilience.

Perimenopause is not the problem.
It is an invitation to listen.
To slow down.
To nourish differently.
To work with your body instead of against it.

This is Personalized Living.

A little moment of life, quietly unfolding…
Spotted this sweet bird making a home right among the magnolia blooms. There’s something so grounding about watching nature do its thing—no rush, no noise, just intention and purpose.
It reminded me…
Sometimes, the most beautiful growth happens in stillness.
💛 Build your nest.
🌿 Nurture your space.
✨ Trust your timing.

That shredded white radish next to your sushi?
Most people ignore it.
But it’s not garnish—it’s functional food.
In traditional food culture, even the smallest detail is there to support digestion, balance, and how your body responds to what you eat.
Daikon is a perfect example—quiet, simple, yet deeply intentional.
I wrote a deeper piece on this (and included a Five Elements soup you can make at home).
🌿 I’ll share the article in the comments

That shredded white radish next to your sushi?
Most people ignore it.

But it’s not garnish—it’s functional food.

In traditional food culture, even the smallest detail is designed with purpose—supporting digestion, balance, and how your body responds to what you eat.

I wrote about how daikon reveals a deeper truth about food, and how this simple ingredient connects to a Five Elements approach to nourishment.

When we think about nutrition, we often focus on calories, vitamins, or trends.

04/16/2026

Most people leave this on the plate…

But it’s there for a reason.

What looks simple is actually designed to support how your body processes the meal.

Sometimes, the smallest details carry the most purpose.

Food is not just nutrition—it’s personalization.

Feeling dry, restless, or overheated this spring?
It might be Yin deficiency.
As spring energy rises, those lacking Yin (cooling, nourishing energy) can feel even more depleted.

Signs to watch:
• Dry skin, eyes, or throat
• Poor sleep or restlessness
• Feeling warm, especially at night
• Irritability or low patience

Support your balance:
• Add hydrating foods → pear, tofu, honey, lily bulb
• Avoid excess spicy, fried, or alcohol
• Prioritize rest and slower rhythms
• Choose gentle, nourishing meals

🌱 Spring isn’t just about growth—
it’s about balance.
If you feel “burnt out,” your body may not need more stimulation…
it may need cooling, hydration, and nourishment.

This resonates deeply.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, we don’t view the body as fixed—we see it as constantly changing with seasons, emotions, and lifestyle.
Being “a work in progress” is not a flaw…
it’s the natural state of being human.
The question is: are we listening and adjusting along the way?
