Register for TWO ‘25!
Tufts Wilderness Orientation (TWO) is a pre-orientation program that seeks to use New England’s beautiful outdoor spaces as a tool for undergraduate student community-building and growth before students begin their first semester at Tufts!
We send small groups of peers led by upperclassman leaders on backpacking, canoeing, trail/site-based service, and camping trips to create a supportive network for the rest of the year.
All trips are designed for beginners; no prior outdoor experience is needed!

The TWO community is made up of super passionate, creative, and fun people from all different backgrounds and corners of campus. It’s hard to express how cool this community is! We hope that this TWOZINE celebrates gives thanks to this community

Apply to TWO!! Careful thought and love is put into every aspect of the program, from Loj training to the community that persists throughout the year, and you can really feel it as a staff member. I feel so lucky to be on TWO staff and it makes me want to spread that joy!

You should apply for TWO staff because it teaches you invaluable lessons about what true leadership and community looks like! By being on staff, not only do you get to spend time with some of the most interesting, funny, and passionate people at Tufts, you also get to provide first-years with a unique outdoor experience. Being on staff allows you to contribute to the behind-the-scenes magic of what makes TWO so special. Alsooooo you learn how to do some pretty sick stuff like make trail pizza and tie bear bags (or burritos). Apply!!!

TWO has been one of the most fulfilling aspects of my college experience! Leading a trip and helping first years in their transition to Tufts taught me so much about my capabilities as a leader. It’s a truly unique opportunity to learn from your peers, grow as a person and take part in a community of the most amazing, kindest, and coolest people! Everyone should apply!
