👣 Have You Heard of “Ozempic Feet”?

With the rise of Ozempic and other weight loss medications, more people are noticing unexpected side effects. One that's recently gained attention? Ozempic Feet.

What is it?
As you lose weight rapidly, the fat pads on your feet (especially in the heels and balls of your feet) can shrink, leaving your skin looking saggy and your veins more prominent. While this condition isn't dangerous, it can cause pain and discomfort. Think: corns, calluses, and foot pain! 😬

But don’t worry! There’s a way to prevent and treat Ozempic Feet. By paying attention to your diet, adding resistance training, and working with a podiatrist, you can protect your feet while continuing on your weight loss journey. 🙌

🦶 What is a Hammertoe? 🤔

If you’ve noticed one or more of your toes bent downwards, creating a “hammer” appearance, you might be dealing with hammertoe. But don’t worry – you’re not alone!

What is it?
A Hammertoe is when one or more toes bend unnaturally at the middle joint, often causing discomfort or pain when walking or wearing shoes.

What causes it?
A Hammertoe is commonly caused by an imbalance in the muscles and tendons that control your toes. It can result from:

Wearing tight or ill-fitting shoes
Injuries
Certain foot types (like flat feet)
Genetic factors

Symptoms to look out for:

Visible toe bending
Pain or soreness when moving or touching the toe
Corns or calluses on the top of the affected toe

How can we help?
If you're dealing with hammertoe, don’t wait for the pain to worsen. Our experienced podiatrists can provide treatment options like custom orthotics, toe exercises, or in more severe cases, surgical intervention to help you get back on your feet comfortably.

✔️ Tight or ill-fitting shoes
✔️ Overuse or stress on the foot
✔️ Certain foot types
