Unfortunately, so many of us have been personally affected by the word cancer. I’ve been on both sides of that relationship. In 2006, I was diagnosed with uterine cancer that had spread to my lymph nodes, and I’m deeply grateful to the people who stood by me through treatment and recovery. I’ve also been on the other side, offering comfort and presence to family and friends as they walked their own cancer journey.

Today, on World Breast Cancer Research Day, I’m reminded how vital it is to keep supporting research, care, and one another.
