What does Southern Oregon think about the importance of nutrition during and after pregnancy?

The Perinatal Task Force hosted an online community listening survey earlier this year to find out.

One hundred forty residents of Douglas and Josephine counties responded with what they thought about nutrition in general, and what they needed to be their healthiest selves.

➡️ 98% responded that the topic of nutrition is important to them.

The Southern Oregon Perinatal Task Force conducted a 2024 Community Listening Survey on the topic of nutrition.

"Do you believe the topic of nutrition is important?"

"What factors are most helpful to you when making food for yourself and your family?"

"When did you learn about the importance of taking prenatal vitamins?"

Here are some of the key findings from the survey. Now it's up to our community leaders and healthcare providers to use this information to meet the needs of our population.

If you're interested in joining the conversation, the Perinatal Task Force meets monthly to discuss findings/topics like these, and how we can all work collectively to improve health outcomes for families in Southern Oregon.
