Fight or flight: I always choose to fight.

Real talk: As my second semester begins, I’m faced with yet another trial and chapter of my journey. As I progress through this program, every step forward is more difficult than the last. Everyday I wake up, I face two choices: half ass and barely get by, or give this my absolute all and don’t look back. Whenever I step foot into Everybodyfights, I’m reminded of why I chose to never look back. I’m reminded of why I chose to fight in the first place. I’m reminded of both the good and the bad in my life and to always remain humble. I’m reminded that each and every one of us are all fighting for something.

I hope you use this as a daily reminder that you ARE worth your dreams & your goals and everything you want in life ARE worth fighting for.

With a new year comes change. My next semester school schedule has created some moving parts in my life. Also, if you don’t know: EBF likes to keep you on your toes!! We are constantly changing and growing to offer the best variety of fitness to all members. That being said, going forward my class schedule at EBF will be SLIGHTLY changing. Starting this week, I’ll be taking over the Tuesday 7ams at Hilltop. Starting next week, I’ll be teaching Wednesday evenings at Fidi. And unfortunately, starting mid January, I will no longer be teaching Thursday evenings at Fidi.

You ever work so hard to accomplish a goal, then when you finally meet it - you hit a wall.

“Now what?”
“Sh*t, can I do this?”
“Do I even deserve this?”

Imposter syndrome hits and the internal battle takes over. Self doubt turns you in every other corner in search for validation.

I’ve spent the past 2 months questioning whether or not I deserve where I’ve been placed in life. Questioning if I can handle this. Questioning if I deserve the blessings soon to follow. Questioning if I’m good enough.

Sound familiar? Well f**k that. I’m done questioning my capabilities. Where you land is exactly where you should be in that moment. Anything thrown at you, positive or negative: it’s meant for you. What’s most messed up about this picture is I actually thought I looked fat in the pic on left. I thought I had a “belly”... like what? Are you okay bree? On the right I’m about 20 lbs heavier. Besides the obvious external differences.. there has also been a lot of internal changes. For the first time in 5 years, my hormones are finally regulated!!! And I’m also in better mental state when it comes to my body. When people think of “health and fitness” they immediately think weight loss is the right route. I’m a prime example that this isn’t always the case. It’s important to remember that health is a very broad term. Health looks different on everyone.

Recipe:
1/2 cup peanut butter
2 scoops protein powder
2/3 cup oats
1 tbsp honey
2 tbsp dark chocolate chips
Splash of almond milk
Mix into big ball
Refrigerate for 1 hour
Roll into ~12 individual balls
