🌟 Important SNAP Update for Oregon Families 🌟

The Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) has announced federally required changes to SNAP (food benefits). These changes will begin rolling out in October and continue over the next year.

More than 300,000 people in Oregon may be affected. Groups most impacted include:

Households that use utility assistance to qualify for extra SNAP benefits
Adults ages 18–64 without children in their SNAP household
Certain immigrants
Older adults and people with disabilities may also be affected

📬 Notices begin October 15, 2025
⏰ First changes start November 1, 2025
💡 October benefits will not be affected by the possible federal shutdown

At Bridging Communities we believe DSPs are an essential part of the circle of support. This week we honor the many ways DSPs contribute their skills and heart to our community.
