Our certified nurse midwives are here to support patients through their entire pregnancy journey, including deliveries and after.

They are licensed by the state and provide care to patients of all ages, focusing on family planning, preconception, pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum care, newborn care, and gynecology.

They also conduct annual exams, write prescriptions, and handle care during menopause and for reproductive health issues such as irregular periods and infertility consultations.

La Clinica is offering more ways for patients to get expert help for digestive issues from their regular primary care teams, avoiding long waits to see a specialist.

Last year Dr. Haulk teamed up with our advanced practitioner residents to offer training and consultations via telehealth for gastroenterology care.

Now the service is expanding across La Clinica, making it easier and faster to get help.

On Thursday La Clinica was featured on a panel focusing on building the region’s healthcare workforce.

As part of the Conference in Ashland, hosted by the Ashland Chamber of Commerce, CEO Brenda Johnson talked about our service The Learning Well, our Advanced Practitioner Residency Program, and behavioral health fellowship and internship opportunities. We also shared additional information at a resource table.

Thanks to Cambia Health Foundation we can further increase behavioral health support for our area.

La Clinica is honored to receive a grant from Cambia Health Foundation, through its Healthcare Workforce Initiative. We are one of just 12 awardees — chosen from 97 applicants across four states.

The funding will support our new Integrated Behavioral Health (IBH) Fellowship and Training Program, which is now accepting applicants.
