The Arc Jackson County’s primary focus is helping people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families. Our programs include: K-12 Enrichment Activity Scholarships; Direct Support Person (DSP) Program- connecting individuals with IDD to attendant and respite care providers; Covid Support Program- providing monetary relief (rent, utilities, phone, childcare) and information for individuals and families who have tested positive for Covid-19; Future Planning- providing individuals and families assistance with preparing for meaningful futures; Advocacy, information, and referral; Social activities, Emergency financial assistance for the IDD community and their families via our Ken Wonderly Memorial Fund; Low-income housing; and Comprehensive online Community Resource Guide

Our Story

The Arc Jackson County’s primary focus is helping people with intellectual and other related developmental disabilities (i/dd) and their families. Our programs include: Advocacy, information, and referral; respite care referral and financial assistance to caregivers caring for loved one’s - regardless of their age or special need -through our DSP program; home-based respite care for children, adults, and seniors with special needs through our Direct Support Professional Program in Medford and Ashland; social activities, such as our annual Christmas party, summer picnic and First Saturday Dance, in collaboration with eight other agencies; emergency financial assistance for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families via our Ken Wonderly Memorial Fund; low-income housing; comprehensive online Community Resource Guide; and our newest programs, Future Planning, offering individuals the opportunity to develop a detailed plan outlining resources, both locally and nationally, goals and desires. a g; and HealthMatters, assisting people who experience i/dd increase their health and wellbeing.
