Massage isn’t just about relaxation — it’s a gentle, evidence-based way to support the body through one of life’s most challenging seasons.

Oncology massage, when adapted safely and skillfully, has been shown in research to reduce pain, anxiety, fatigue, and nausea, while improving sleep, mood, and overall quality of life. Studies from leading cancer centers (like Memorial Sloan Kettering, where I received my oncology massage training) show measurable decreases in cortisol and increases in serotonin — helping the body find balance again, even in the midst of treatment as well as lower blood pressure, lessened anxiety, and better sleep.

If you’ve ever seen those circular marks after a cupping session and thought, “What in the world happened there?” — you’re not alone.

Cupping is an ancient healing practice that’s all about creating space — in your tissues, in your breath, and even in your nervous system.

By using gentle suction, cups help lift the layers of muscle and fascia away from each other — like opening a window to let fresh air in.
