COVID-19 can have a strain on your mental health for a number of reasons. You can take small steps in self-care to prevent declining mental health (CDC Recommended):
• Take breaks from watching, reading, or listening to news stories, including social media. Set a specific time each day that you tune in.
• Take deep breaths, stretch, or meditate.
• Take care of your body by eating healthy meals, exercising regularly, getting enough sleep, and avoiding alcohol and drugs.
• Make time to unwind.
• Connect with others. Talk with people you trust about your concerns and how you are feeling.
• Consult with a Healthcare Professional: Psychiatrists, counselors and other mental health professionals can help you recognize and manage your mental health.
