Support doesn’t always look the same… sometimes it’s a listening ear, other times it’s a boundary, a break, or a brave conversation. Wherever you are in the journey, you don’t have to walk it alone.

CRAFT Family Support reminds us that support has many faces, and you may have different needs at different times.

The Beauty of Connection 🧡

Last week a man walked through our doors wanting to learn more about what we offer. I (Angie) greeted him with a hello, but before I could say much, one of our members felt moved to step up and share. Another member joined in, both eager to explain what Recovery Café means to them.

It was a beautiful moment… members using their tools, their hearts, and their stories to encourage someone new. The beauty of connection, of stepping out of your comfort zone, and of love in action.

Here, everyone has something to give. Everyone matters. And it’s so, so lovely. 🫶🏻🫶🏻

Have you ever wondered what unconditional love looks like?

Her…

It looks like her.

Thank you, Monie, for all of the ways you love people with purpose, passion, and no conditions.

The world is better because of you! And we are so grateful for you. 🫶🏻🫶🏻

Sometimes it’s not the words that change things, it’s in the moment they’re spoken.
“It’s not enough to know what to say; you must also know when to say it.”
At our CRAFT Family Support Group, we’re learning together how to speak love in timing that heals and not hinders. 🧡🧡

Words of Wednesday~

CREATIVE WRITING CLASS HIGHLIGHT ✨

Nanette 9/17/25

The Ordinary Miracle - “Ordinary miracles are those little things that happen for you each day. Like in San Francisco I had my parking Angel who helped me find parking spots right in front of the restaurant or shop that I was going to, people couldn't believe it and called it luck, but I know better. They were an answer to prayer. When I was really broke and found a $20 bill in the produce, an ordinary miracle. When the shoes I really want are 70% off. How about the gentleman who pulls over and changes your tire or puts chains on them for you. Don't forget when you lock your keys in your car and the guy parked next to you has a slim jim to retrieve them. I always remember when I was feeling down or sad and someone I love called me and made me laugh. If you're paying attention and not blindly going through your day, you'll notice those ordinary, everyday miracles. Those small things that could easily be overlooked or you think are just luck. If that were the case, then I'm the luckiest woman on the planet. I even had my children sharing their miracles at the dinner table, because it's important to stay present and pay attention to the small things God does to encourage you.”

Recovery holds so many gifts and talents.

Togetherness… 🧡🧡

Some of the many things we get to do here at Reclaiming Lives/Recovery Cafe! 🫶🏻🫶🏻

This past week a handful of our staff attended the first Peermageddon Recovery Event in Ashland, Oregon. It was a powerful and insightful time! Thank you Addictions Recovery Center, Inc. for hosting a wonderful event.

We also had a wonderful time at the BBSI “Ride for a Cause” event, and we are grateful for every opportunity we had in sharing about what we do!

On Wednesday, several different police agencies in our community spent the day in the cafe listening to our staff and several members share, as they gave testimony of what we do and how important recovery is in their lives.

And last but not least, one of our circle groups went bowling for the evening, and had an amazing time connecting and enjoying some fun!

It’s pretty great around here! 🧡
