2020 will be a year to remember for sure! I applaud those who thrived, and can sympathize and relate to those who struggled to hold it together.
Personally, I found this year to feel a bit chaotic. Holding to a schedule…impossible! Finding some quiet time…not happening! Practicing yoga…ummm, maybe I can squeeze a class in later. Worrying about not only the physical health of my kids, but the emotional health as well… yep! Questioning the safety of every invitation and the consequence of each decision…exhausting! On the surface, things seemed fine, but I could feel the stress and anxiety that came with living in a pandemic. I mostly noticed it in the wee hours of the morning when I should have been sleeping. So I guess you can add a bit of insomnia to that list!
It was during one of those sleepless nights that I realized something. I let my yoga practice fall to the wayside! This hit me hard! Yoga is my thing… it keeps me grounded, sane, balanced, healthy, present and connected to not only my breath, but my very spirit. Some would even say it keeps me pleasant, lol!
A yoga practice is not just stretching and breathing, it is carving out priceless time for yourself, creating mindfulness, keeping you at ease in your mind, body & spirit. It forces you to pause, settle into your breath and create an awareness of what is happening internally and externally & manifest positive changes in your life. It is a way of acquiring tools for your mental, physical, emotional and spiritual toolbox., so that you can stress less, sleep better and be more pleasant! And it keeps you strong, lean and healthy.
So, I am sending out a call to action for 2021 to you. Join me in my quest for a better year ahead. I offer a variety of yoga classes and meditations online and new in 2021, I will be adding weekly live Zoom classes and some workshops to the schedule!
