We are welcoming the new year with open arms and feel so grateful to serve such a wonderfully supportive community❣️
The holiday season was filled with joy, grief, gratitude, & everything in between ❤️ Our residents and their families enjoyed quality time together and shared meals, surrounded by our staff & volunteers.

Did you know? Rainy winter days call for warmth, comfort, and the quiet care of a handmade quilt. Since 2018, Southern Oregon Friends of Hospice’s Quilt Program has wrapped every resident in welcome and care. Each one-of-a-kind quilt is handmade by local quilters and chosen upon admission — often becoming a cherished keepsake for families.

Saturday’s open house is just around the corner! 2-5pm at Celia’s House this Saturday, December 13 ✨
217 S Modoc Ave. Medford, OR.
Please join us and invite guests! You do not need to schedule anything, just show up. Tours will be every 30 mins with the first tour at 2pm and the last at 4:30pm

Friday we said a big happy birthday to James, our treasured kitchen manager. At Celia’s House, the kitchen is the heart of the home. And making sure people are fed good quality,
homemade food is a priority.

James and our kitchen staff are so good at getting to know every resident and their families, and making sure their requests are fulfilled.

The Acton Black Family Food Program was started by a grateful family whose father we cared for at Celia’s House. Moved by the compassion and generosity extended to them, they started the food program 5 years ago to ensure other visiting families could have a meal if they requested.

Breaking bread together is something all people have in common.
Thank you James, for making sure everyone stays fed. And happy birthday! 🎉

Residents and their families enjoyed Thanksgiving meals together—some in our dining room and some in their rooms ❤️ Our chef and kitchen staff prepared a homemade meal for everyone 🙏

Lately, you can find hearts all around Celia’s House, including these handmade holding hearts that a dedicated volunteer in Vermont makes and kindly sends to Celia‘s House for residents or their families to hold in their hand ❤️

You can find these on our spiritual items shelves in the library, along with other items one can take and hold close for comfort.

This giving season, there are a lot of ways you can support our hearts for hospice campaign, including volunteering, making a donation, shopping at The HUB, or staying connected to our nonprofit and learning about hospice care in your community!
