Our focus is simple: we care for our patients to the best of our ability, and this focus is one that attracts a very giving group of staff. Through bone marrow drives and blood drives and even "paid time off" donations to our colleagues, people show their concern for their co-workers. Through our Community Teams, we have built strong connections with the population that we serve, including the students, elderly and underprivileged. And through our Employee Giving program, our employee community even gives back to our own non-profit organization. Our buildings are also filled with wonderful volunteers that support the important work that we do. Each year we honor the volunteers and the employees who reach milestones in their service to Hallmark Health and it is always very rewarding to honor the folks who have been here a long time. Nothing says more about a strong culture than this kind of longevity and devotion. Caring for people who are ill is stressful though, and often sad, so together we have tried to build an environment where we can show our team spirit in ways that make the workplace fun.
