Electrophysiologists play a crucial role in cardiology, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders. Their expertise is essential in guiding procedures like the WATCHMAN, which helps patients with atrial fibrillation reduce the risk of stroke.

Recently, we celebrated the 500th WATCHMAN Implant procedure at Rogue Regional Medical Center! This minimally invasive procedure can help reduce strokes for heart patients. Great work, team!

“In these situations, quick treatment is critical. Having more procedure rooms and recovery areas mean that we can increase access for patients,” says Kent Dauterman, Cardiologist, Southern Oregon Cardiology.

This growth at Asante means we can enhance our cardiology services and provide even better care for our community. Our Cardiologists are grateful for our teams, expanded facilities and resources, ensuring we continue to deliver top-notch heart health to our patients. 💙👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

The next phase of construction and expansion is underway at Rogue Regional Medical Center to increase access to cardiac services. This includes six new catheterization labs and 30 prep and recovery rooms where patients are cared for before and after procedures.
