Finishing slides and starting to practice for this workshop. The opportunity to think tank art-based psychological first aid with a group of smart, creative, passionate art therapists is exciting.

Our Pre-Conference course features a full day 7CEU workshop with Oregon art therapist Delaine Due, "Art Therapy-Informed Psychological First Aid: Enhancing Natural Disaster Response." Lunch is included in registration.
We kick off Keynote day with professor and author Joseph Scarce, PhD, ATR-BC, who will present "Art Therapy Disaster Response; Hope, Healing, & Humanity." Book signing to follow! Then choose from an assortment of paper presentation and workshops throughout the day, with 4 break out sessions in the morning, 4 after lunch (on your own), and 4 more in the late afternoon. Networking breaks with refreshments throughout the day. Explore Ashland and reconnect with friends and colleagues over dinner, then join us at the Coburn Art Gallery at Ashland University for the exhibition "Transcending Barriers Beyond Time: Visual Reminiscence of Older Adults with Chronic Illnesses Facilitated by Generative AI," where you can earn an additional CEU with tour of the exhibition and critical dialogue.
The Saturday program features 4 morning break-out sessions (including papers, panels, & workshops), the Ethics Plenary "Centering on Ethics in Supporting Migrants and Survivors of Political Violence," BATA's Annual Membership Meeting and Luncheon, and 6 more break-out sessions throughout the afternoon!
