Job Title: Early Childcare Liaison
Organization: Medicine Lodge Daycare, Inc.
Location: 126 N Main St, Medicine Lodge, KS 67104
Position Type: Part-Time
Position Summary
The Early Childcare Liaison serves as a key connection point between the Medicine Lodge
Daycare, Inc. (MLDC) Board and the individual childcare providers operating within the facility.
This role combines administrative support, record keeping, and facility upkeep, with a strong
emphasis on maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized environment for children, families,
and providers.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Cleaning & Upkeep (Primary Focus)
● Maintain cleanliness of all shared/common areas throughout the facility
● Ensure restrooms, hallways, and shared spaces are cleaned regularly and kept in good
condition
● Monitor overall appearance and organization of the building
● Communicate any maintenance or facility concerns to the appropriate contacts
Communication & Coordination
● Serve as the primary liaison between the MLDC Board and childcare providers
● Support clear and consistent communication regarding policies, updates, and
expectations
● Assist providers with general questions related to the facility or operations
● Attend meetings as needed and provide updates
Compliance & Licensing Support
● Maintain and organize required documentation for KDHE childcare licensing
● Assist in ensuring ongoing compliance with KDHE and State Fire Marshal requirements
● Support providers in preparing for inspections and maintaining required records
Administrative & Record Keeping Support
● Maintain organized records related to the facility and providers
● Support onboarding of new providers and serve as a liaison to MLDC
● Help track deadlines, renewals, and required submissions
● Assist with general administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications
● Strong organizational and communication skills
● Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks
● Comfortable working independently in a shared facility environment
● Attention to detail, especially in cleaning and record keeping
Preferred Qualifications
● Experience in childcare or early childhood settings
● Familiarity with KDHE childcare licensing requirements
● Previous experience in administrative or facility support roles
Training
KDHE childcare experience is preferred, but the right candidate will be trained.
Work Environment
This position operates within a shared childcare facility and involves regular interaction with providers, children, and families, though it does not include direct child care responsibilities.
Routine cleaning of common areas is a key part of this role.
Schedule
Part-time hours, based on facility needs and candidate availability. Some flexibility may be available.
Compensation
To be determined based on experience.
