🍗🔥 Wing Wednesday with Chef Ray! 🔥🍗
Our kitchen smelled amazing as Chef Ray showed off his skills with a mouthwatering Chicken Wing Demo! He treated everyone to three delicious flavors:
🍯 Honey Mustard Wings – sweet, tangy, and finger-lickin’ good!
🍖 BBQ Wings – perfectly sauced with that smoky-sweet flavor we all love.
🌶️ Dry Rub Cajun Wings – packed with bold Southern spice and a little kick!
Our members had a great time tasting, chatting, and cheering on Chef Ray’s culinary talents. 🙌

Monday was our first session of Military Mondays in our Independent Living building. Every Monday through the week of Veterans Day we have our Veterans talking about their time in the service and/or learning about the different branches. Buckeye's Missions and Sanctuary is a local dog shelter that The Echelon of Medina has partnered with numerous times over the years to bring joy to both our members and the shelter's dogs. We have brought our members on trips to visit the dogs at the shelter, and the staff at Buckeye's have brought dogs to us at Echelon for visits and for parties.

Buckeye's is holding a fundraiser in our Independent Living building on Sunday, November 9th from 12:00-4:00. It is a psychic fair, and there are chair massages, raffle baskets, light appetizers and refreshments. This fundraiser is to support Buckeye's Missions. Information is in the flyer on this post.

Thank you to SPARK Medina and Girl Scout Troop 90120 for collaborating with us at The Echelon of Medina for a NEW program, Socializing with Seniors. It was a HIT! Girl Scout Troop 90120 knew they wanted to create something that would benefit seniors living in senior living communities. This program focuses on learning why intergenerational relationships are so important. Our members at The Echelon of Medina joined the girls for some socializing while playing various games and/or drawing. Everyone had such a good time that they didn't want it to end, and one of the residents even taught the girls how to play a game with pool noodles and balloons that they like to play.

🐾 Special Visitors at The Echelon! 🐾

This week, our hearts were full (and tails were wagging!) as we welcomed Nemo and Pippa, two of our lovely therapy dogs, for a very special visit with our residents 💛🐶

Their gentle spirits and joyful energy brought smiles, laughter, and lots of cuddles. It’s amazing how a furry friend can brighten the day and create such meaningful moments. 🐕✨

Thank you to Nemo, Pippa, and their wonderful handlers for spreading so much love and warmth. We can’t wait to see them again soon!

🎃 Spooky Sips & Sports Vibes! 🎃

Our Independent Living residents got into the Halloween spirit and the game-day groove yesterday! While the Guardians kept us on the edge of our seats, our residents were chilling out with some Haunted Jack Skellington White Russians — a ghoulishly good treat! Paired with some coconut cream pie and chocolate eclairs, even better! And we celebrated a birthday for Laura on our activities team! 👻🍸⚾

Good times, great company, and just the right amount of spooky fun. Cheers to making October unforgettable! 💀🎉
