We had a fantastic time at Senior Citizen Day at the Medina County Fair! Medina Meadows took two busloads of residents to enjoy all the fun—and what a sunny day it was!

We were proud to sponsor the free snacks for the event, offering bagged chips, bottled water, and handheld fans (which came in handy in the summer heat). Our residents loved exploring the animal barns, stopping by the community center, and grabbing delicious treats from the food trucks. Nothing beats fair french fries!

A big thank you to our amazing Activity Director Kim, along with the staff, family members, and volunteers who helped chaperone and make the day so special. We loved our matching t-shirts that the management team designed for us!

This afternoon, our residents were treated to a delightful concert of standards and classics performed by the talented Bud Couts. With his smooth vocals and heartfelt delivery, Bud brought joy and nostalgia to everyone in the room.

As a dedicated member of both a barbershop chorus and barbershop quartet, Bud's passion for music truly shines through. We are so grateful to him for sharing his time and talent with us—it was a performance to remember! 💙

Thank you, Bud, for filling Medina Meadows with music and happiness today! Bud and his quartet will be singing the National Anthem at an upcoming Rubber Ducks Game! 🎤🎵

Today in the 300 Hall servery, our talented Activities Director Kim Poehls brought smiles all around by making fresh, homemade donuts right on site. Residents and their families along with staff gathered to enjoy the warm, sugar and cinnamon donuts and donut holes along with refreshing punch—and it was a hit!

We can't help but think ahead to all the delicious vendor foods coming soon at the Medina County Fair in just about one week: donuts, elephant ears, corn dogs, gyros, fresh-cut fries, and more. What a wonderful way to anticipate the upcoming fair and share joyful moments together.

Yesterday evening, July 17th, we had the pleasure of welcoming Assistant Medina County Prosecutor and Director of The Medina County Scam Squad, Thomas Condosta, for an informative and engaging presentation here at Medina Meadows Rehabilitation and Nursing Centre.

Mr. Condosta shared valuable tips on how to recognize and avoid scams—whether by phone, computer, mail, or in person. His presentation was packed with practical advice to help keep our residents and guests safe from fraud. We were thrilled to see not only our residents, but also several members of the local community join us for this important event.

Attendees enjoyed pizza 🍕, snacks, and refreshments while learning how to stay protected. The lively Q\&A session at the end showed just how engaged and appreciative our audience was!

A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Condosta for taking the time to educate and empower our community—and to everyone who attended and made this such a successful event!

✨ A little joy goes a long way.

Tomorrow I will be delivering a few one-of-a-kind handmade cards to some lucky individuals in our community — each one lovingly created by the talented Residents at Medina Meadows Nursing Home here in Medina.

These cards aren't just paper and ink — they were full of heart, creativity, and a deep desire to connect with others. Watching our Residents light up while crafting them was inspiring, and seeing them find their way into the hands of people in the community makes it even more special.

It’s moments like this that remind me how small acts of kindness can truly make someone's day.
