Behind every patient visit, procedure, and treatment is a dedicated team ensuring that essential medical supplies, equipment, and resources are available when and where they’re needed. Did you know, Medina Memorial Hospital is participating in National Lung Cancer Screening Day on Saturday, November 8, offering low-dose CT screenings for eligible patients. These quick, painless tests can detect lung cancer in its earliest, most treatable stages.

The event is part of a national initiative led by the American Cancer Society, American College of Radiology, and other partners to expand access to life-saving screenings—especially for those who can’t schedule appointments during the workweek.

Lung cancer remains one of the deadliest cancers in the U.S., claiming more than 125,000 lives each year. Early detection through screening can greatly improve survival rates, yet few eligible individuals take advantage of it.

To learn more or check your eligibility, contact the Imaging/Radiology Department at Medina Memorial Hospital at (585)798-8054.

Have you met Taylor?

Team Spotlight: Meet Taylor Tinkous

Taylor joined Orleans Community Health - Albion Healthcare center in March 2025 and has been an important part of the care team ever since. As a Clinical Technician Taylor enjoys the variety each day brings - especially getting to work directly with members of the community and assisting with the wide range of cases that come through for walk-in care.

When asked what she values most about working at OCH, Taylor shared that she appreciates having a small, community-centered medical facility that’s easily accessible for local residents. Her passion for medicine shines through in everything she does. Taylor is constantly eager to learn, grow, and absorb new knowledge to enhance patient care.

Outside of work, Taylor enjoys life on her small hobby farm, where she stays busy caring for her animals. She also loves the close-knit nature of Orleans County, where familiar faces and strong community connections make every day special.

We’re proud to have Taylor as part of our OCH team!
