We have some exciting news to share with the community!

We are planning to purchase a new ambulance in 2027!! 🚑

Fun fact: we have already placed an order and it will take 2 years to build and take possession of the ambulance.

Our current ambulance is getting up in age and will need to be replaced to continue providing essential emergency services to the area. Our expected cost for this new ambulance is $350,000, we had applied for a grant in 2025 however, we were not awarded the grant. We will continue to look for more grant options to help cover some of the cost for the ambulance. In addition to this, we will be starting a fundraising compain to raise the necessary funds to cover the cost.
We want to thank the area organizations and the personal donations that we have already received! Any donations large or small are very much appreciated and will go towards this worthwhile cause, these donations would also be tax deductible.
We are confident that the communities of Medina and surrounding areas, those that the ambulance service covers in case of emergencies, will help to see this through.

T-minus 2 years to go, let's do this!

Donations can be mailed to:

We're so thrilled to share that all of our EMT students passed the psychomotor exam and are ready to take the NREMT exam!

It was a fun class to teach and see them progress and gain confidence in themselves and in their skills.

We have 8 students ready to become EMTs! We're so proud of you all!
👏👏👏

Also, a huge thank you to our ambulance members for being "patients" for the night!

We hope you all had Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Check out what are EMT students have been learning recently:

maintaining patient airways, head tilt- chin lift & jaw-thrust maneuvers, using OPAs, NPAs and igels, using suction devices - onboard ambulance and portable; providing oxygen via cannula, non-rebreather and bag-valve mask and continuing to record vital signs.
Students are doing a great job learning the skills and all the information!

We couldn't help but sharing some more EMT class fun!

The students practiced a lot of skills on our last lab day, including:
☆Using the LUCAS device
☆CPR
☆Using the AED
☆Spine immobilization
☆Using the scoop stretcher
☆Lifting patients onto the cot
☆Loading and unloading the cot from the ambulance with a patient
☆Using the stair chair

Everyone gets a chance to be the patient. We find it very impactful for patient care for ambulance personnel to understand what our patients go through while being cared for by our ambulance service!

And of course practicing vital signs, which is crucial to the management of our care- BP, pulse, oxygen saturation, blood glucose, lung sounds, skin appearance, and temperature.
