A beautiful whale of a tale! Whale mothers nurse their young in the middle of the ocean.

Their milk is unlike any on Earth: almost 50% fat, thick as cream cheese, so it doesn't dissolve in the ocean, and no drop is lost to sea!

Each gulp fuels a calf that can gain up to 100 pounds a day, growing strong enough to survive the wild currents.

That nutrient-dense milk helps the baby gain 100+ pounds a day during early life — it’s one of nature’s most extraordinary nursing adaptations.

Do you need some fresh ideas for helping to bring gratitude and thankfulness into your routines? Here are some fun ideas:

Gratitude Scavenger Hunt: Create a list of things to find, like something that starts with the letter "A," or a gratitude hunt in nature.

Bedtime Thank You's: Ask each family member to share one or two things they are grateful for before bed.

Gratitude Storytelling: Encourage kids to tell stories about why they are grateful for people, places, or small moments.

Thankful Tree: Create a tree shape on paper or use a real branch and have kids hang paper leaves with their thanks written on them.

Gratitude Collage: Cut out pictures from magazines or draw images representing things they are grateful for to make a collage.

Thank-you notes: Write and send thank-you notes to family, friends, or even people like the mail carrier.

Gratitude chain: Write something thankful on paper strips and link them together to make a chain.

Read gratitude books: Read books about thankfulness together to start conversations and introduce the concept.

Gratitude prompts: Use pre-made or simple prompts like "What is something beautiful you saw today?" or "What is one thing you are grateful for that is small?"

Your baby wanting to be held all the time is not spoiled.

It’s human.
It’s normal.
It’s how they survive.

They just spent 9 months in the safest place they’ve ever known, your body. Constant warmth, constant heartbeat, constant comfort.

Now they’re out in a loud, bright, overstimulating world, and you?
You are home. You are safety. You are everything.

So if your baby cries when you put them down, if they need your arms to fall asleep, if they want to be on your chest 24/7—that’s okay. That’s not spoiled.

That’s attachment.
That’s bonding.
That’s exactly how it’s supposed to be.

Hold that baby. Wear them. Rock them. Let them be close.
You're not creating bad habits, you're creating security. ❤️

Producing breastmilk takes up about 30% of the body’s energy. Your brain, for comparison, only uses about 20%.
You’re not doing nothing.
This is why you’re so tired at the end of the day.
This is why you’re so hungry and so thirsty.
So, if all you did was feed your baby today, don’t let your mind convince you that you didn’t do enough. You did enough. You did amazing. 🤱
