Ohio offers a wide range of autism resources for individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and support needs.

Organizations like OCALI provide statewide tools, training, and supports—including a Family Resource Hub, transition resources, sensory-friendly materials, and a lending library.

Autism Society Ohio connects families and professionals to local supports through a strong network of regional affiliates.

In addition, the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities, local county boards of developmental disabilities, schools, and community-based organizations work together to provide early service intervention, service coordination, lifelong supports, and more.

Did you know that, according to the Health Policy Institute of Ohio, children with Autism are at higher risk of developing mental health conditions? Studies have found that nearly 78% of children with autism in Ohio have at least one co-occurring mental health condition, including anxiety, depression, or eating disorders.

As part of the movement, we want to highlight the families and caregivers who navigate multiple complex health systems to access the care their children need.

Happy National Siblings Day! 💙

Today we celebrate siblings of people with developmental disabilities; the advocates, supporters, and lifelong teammates who help make inclusion part of everyday life. Your experiences help build understanding, compassion, and stronger communities.

We see you, we appreciate you, and we celebrate you today and every day. 💫

Happy National Siblings Day!!

At our 2025 Gala, we were thrilled to feature a truly special performance from our Sibling Magicians— whose connection goes far beyond the stage. Together, they brought creativity, teamwork, and joy to the room as they amazed the audience with their magic and shared laughter. Their performance was more than entertainment—it was a celebration of the unique bond between siblings, showcasing trust, collaboration, and the power of showing up for one another. It was a memorable highlight of the evening and a beautiful reminder of the magic that siblings create together.

Thank you Sibs!

Also a huge thank you to Magician- Michael Dustman and Board Member- Kelly Barnett for making the program possible!

April's DSP of the Month is Mary Findley! 🌟

Mary has been a certified DSP for seven years. Her favorite part of the role is watching the people she supports grow and thrive as individuals. She enjoys taking those she serves out into the community to volunteer and spending time together outdoors. Mary says there’s nothing better than seeing someone discover their interests and grow into who they are meant to be.

Thank you, Mary, for everything you do! 💙
