🐴✨ We’ve got cameras in the barn! ✨🐴

It was our privilege to welcome WCCO-TV’s Susan-Elizabeth Littlefield to the barn to highlight our organization and the work we do in preparation for Excel’s Day of Service.

Client Daisy 🌼 was on hand to sign autographs, show off her mad riding skills and even take a shot at operating the camera!

With a smile that lights up the arena and a personality to match, Daisy is about to show the world how much fun therapeutic riding can be.

From giggles in the saddle to hugs and high-fives on the ground, this story is all about joy, horses, and the magic that happens when the two come together. 💕🌟

✨ Volunteer Highlight ✨

Our volunteer crew is as diverse as our herd!

Did you know? Our volunteers come from not only the Twin Cities, but from galaxies far, far away.

Bo-Katan and Din Djarin set great examples for client and volunteer safety by wearing helmets and proper footwear around the barn and pasture. Dark sabers are, of course, always optional.

This is the way.

Long time friend of We Can Ride, Dick Lindeman, passed away peacefully on August 14th, surrounded by his loving family, and is now reunited will this beloved wife, Bev, who passed away 10 months earlier.

We Can Ride board chair Laurie Burgess remembers the Lindemans fondly.

"Dick and Bev are truly a very large part of why I am still involved with WCR. They welcomed me into their world every Saturday morning in Minnetonka. It felt like they knew every client and well as their family/care givers.

Dick's horsemanship was truly something. He cared so much about everyone's safety and wellbeing. He even gave me an article that helped me to understand communicating with horses, as I was not a horse savvy person, and he saw how much I loved volunteering. I consider myself so fortunate to have the gift of knowing them. They knew that I was struggling personally at that time and took me under their wing. I think the best thing of all was seeing how much they loved and respected each other."

A service will be held on September 16th.
