A flower doesn’t rush to bloom.
It doesn’t question whether it is worthy of being seen.
It simply opens when the time is right.

Petal by petal, it trusts the process of becoming.

we move through life quickly, searching for the next thing, the next step, the next answer…
And yet the quiet miracles are always here.

The breath moving in and out.
The warmth of the sun.
The way the body softens when we pause.

Maybe the practice is simply To slow down enough to notice.

Because when we truly see the beauty in one small moment, we begin to see it everywhere.

In the past few weeks, we witnessed the passing of two actors many of us grew up watching- Eric Dane and James Van Der Beek.

Their passing didn’t move me simply because of the shows they were part of, but because of the messages they left behind.

Both men spoke openly about what became clear to them in their final days.
And the message was simple, yet profound:
to live in the present.

To say with conviction that living presently is the only way to truly live.

I’ve asked myself this question a few times:
Would I want to know when I’m going to die?

Part of me feels the answer lies in the deep desire to live as fully present as possible.
To feel each moment.
To stand in awe of the beauty God places around us.
To love the person standing right in front of us with our whole heart.

But for most of us, we will never know when our time will come.
And perhaps that is a gift.

The real question becomes:
How do we begin living as if this moment truly matters?

How do we slow down enough to settle the nervous system…
to soften the constant rush…
to simply be?

When do we admit our addictions to distraction?
When do we finally say, enough…

Put the phone down.
Lift our eyes up.
And return to the life unfolding right in front of us.

Lately, I have been finding myself on my mat a lot more than normal. A safe space that always brings me back to my center and reminds me to live presently.
I find myself letting go of the small things
And choosing more and more what really matters.

This life is truly so sacred.
May we remember what a gift it is to wake up every morning.
May we choose gratitude in our hearts
May we feel and embrace all of life that is moving through us.

Wishing you a beautiful April - of presence, magic and joy

With love,
Lauren and the whole team at HMY

Let your life be your practice.

Not just the 60 minutes on the mat.
Not just the breath you deepen in stillness.

But the way you speak when you’re frustrated.
The way you pause instead of react.
The way you soften your shoulders in the middle of a hard conversation.

Yoga was never meant to live only inside a studio. It’s how you move through your day.
It’s how you listen.
It’s how you choose again.

Presence in the ordinary.
Compassion in the messy moments.
Integrity when no one is watching.

Let your life be your practice
steady, imperfect, awake.

See you in studio.

The Spring Equinox reminds us that growth doesn’t rush, force, or strain. It unfolds.
Just like nature, you are allowed to root where you are, soften into the light, and trust your own timing.

This season isn’t asking you to become someone new , it’s inviting you to gently open into who you already are.

Pause. Breathe. Notice what within you is ready to bloom.

We will see you on the mat ❤️

We take roughly 17,000 breaths each day.
How many of them do we truly feel?

Awareness of the breath brings us gently into the present moment.
Deep, full breathing invites calm and ease into the body, nurturing and regulating the nervous system.

When the breath is shallow and hurried, the body feels that urgency.
When we are disconnected from the breath, we drift from our life as it is happening.

How you breathe is how you live.

Yoga is a breath-centered practice which is one of the many ways that yoga supports and heals both on and off the mat.
What you practice here is meant to be taken with you.

Are you ready to live a slower more present life?
We have a spot here just for you
