🍂🦃 Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Orchard Rehabilitation & Nursing Center! 🦃🍂

This month has been filled with joy, gratitude, and the start of two wonderful new traditions that brought so much excitement to our community!

🇺🇸 Our New Veterans Day Parade Tradition:
We proudly introduced a heartfelt parade to honor our resident veterans, complete with patriotic decorations, music, and warm salutes. It was a fun way to celebrate the brave men and women who have served our country, and a tradition we look forward to continuing.

🍁 Our New Thanksgiving Parade Tradition:
Orchard’s staff also put on a fun and festive Thanksgiving parade and filled our halls with laughter and holiday spirit!

We’re so grateful for our residents, their families, and our dedicated staff who make moments like these possible.

As the holiday season approaches, we at Orchard Rehab & Nursing Center are reaching out to our generous communities to help us bring a little extra warmth and joy to those who need it most. ✨

This year, our residents and staff are working together to create Christmas stockings for lower-income families in our area, specifically for MAAC (Medina Area Association of Churches) — a project that not only brightens the season for local families but also gives our residents a meaningful way to stay engaged and give back. 🎁

To make this possible, we are seeking donations of items or financial contributions to help fill the stockings. Suggested items include personal care items, warm socks, candy, art supplies, snacks (individually packaged)— or, if you prefer, monetary donations that allow us to purchase supplies as needed.

Your support will directly impact local families who may otherwise go without holiday gifts and will also bring joy and purpose to our residents, who take great pride in helping their community.

If you would like to participate, donations may be dropped off at Orchard Rehab & Nursing Center.

A small group of residents helped us pack 27 purses with personal care kits and accessories to donate to Angela’s Purses with Purpose! 👛👜

Angela’s Purses with Purpose is a ministry that was started by the late Angela English, who gave away purses with toiletries and offered to pray with people in the community.

This week was fair week, and some of Orchard’s residents wheeled in hot! 😎🎡🎟️

We would like to say a special thank you to the Orleans County 4-H Fair Group for accommodating us.

We had a great time visiting the animals 🐐, watching shows 🎪 , playing games 🎯, and of course, eating our favorite fair treats! 🥤🍬🍕🍩
