Last week, we honored a remarkable caregiver and valued member of our Champion Creek Family. We proudly announced our 2025 Employee of the Year with a celebratory party recognizing her exceptional care and dedication to our residents since our opening in June.
Congratulations to Mia Allen, our STNA! Please take a moment to read the speech delivered by our Administrator, Amanda, during the party, highlighting Mia's outstanding contributions, and extend your congratulations when you see her. 💚
“One of the best parts of what we do in long-term care is getting to recognize the people who truly make a difference every single day. The person we’re honoring today represents what excellence in long-term care truly looks like: consistency, compassion, and quiet leadership.
This employee may not always be the loudest voice in the room, but their impact speaks volumes. They show up every day ready to work, ready to help, and most importantly, ready to care. Our residents absolutely adore them. Families notice their kindness. And coworkers repeatedly share how much they value working alongside this person.
Co-workers have said this person makes the day easier when you’re working with someone who cares and with someone who wants to work as a team.
New employees have said this person is supportive and patient. They lead by example, not by telling people what to do, but by simply doing the job the right way everyday.
Residents request them by name. And no matter what kind of day they’re having, they bring a calm, kind energy that helps everyone around them.
In the time this employee has been with us, I can honestly say I have never received a complaint about them, which in healthcare is pretty remarkable. Instead, what I hear are stories about their patience, their attentiveness, and how calm they remain even when things get challenging. That kind of steady presence makes a huge difference not only for residents, but for the entire team.
Today we celebrate someone very deserving. It is my pleasure to announce that our 2025 Employee of the Year is…Mia Allen.”💚
