Prost to our Monthly Signature Event: OKTOBERFEST!

Our assisted living residents of Whitney Place and independent living residents of the Willows celebrated Oktoberfest with a 5-piece live Bavarian band, authentic Oktoberfest tunes and even a performance on the Alphorn, the traditional long wooden horn of the Alps!

From lively dancing, heartily laughter, a great cheese fondue spread organized by our excellent culinary team and steins raised high, it was a true celebration of GemĂźtlichkeit- the German word for warmth, good cheer and togetherness.

Today, Tapestry Memory Care Residents and families had the most spook-tacular time at our Family Halloween Party! We enjoyed delicious food prepared by our amazing culinary team, and wonderful service, costumes, and entertainment—courtesy of our very own van driver, Steve! Today the Tapestry residents enjoyed a fun jam-tasting activity, trying to guess the different flavors and berries in each one. It was a wonderful time to reminisce about moments spent in the kitchen with our parents and share stories about special family recipes.
To wrap up our Hawaiian Week, we finished with a craft project! Throughout the week, we learned about Hawaiian culture, participated in a lei ceremony, discovered how to play the ukulele, and enjoyed so many other engaging activities.
It was truly a fantastic week filled with learning, creativity, and connection!

‘Tis the Season for Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice!

Our Engagement Director, Ruta, treated our assisted living residents of Whitney Place & independent living residents of the Willows to her delicious Pumpkin Spice Pizelle recipe, filling the community with the warm aroma of fall! Our residents enjoyed the freshly made pizelles, shared fond memories of baking growing up, and for some, it was their very first taste of this Italian favorite.

Celebrating Diwali- The Festival of Lights!

Our community shone bright as we celebrated Diwali, one of India’s most cherished holiday symbolizing light, joy and togetherness.

Our Engagement Director, Ruta, shared a part of her Indian culture with our assisted living residents of Whitney Place and independent living residents of the Willows through beautiful hands-on crafts- tissue paper marigold flowers, creating colorful Rangoli sand mandalas, and painting traditional clay oil lamps.
