Nala is an example of a kitten who had kittens. Rescued as an abandoned stray at just six months old—already a devoted young mom—Nala has seen her kittens find loving homes, and now it’s her turn to be cherished.
Nala is now a beautiful eight-month-old orange girl with a heart as bright as her coat. As an orange female, she’s a bit of an oddity, as only about 20% of orange cats are female. Despite her rough start, she’s playful, friendly, and wonderfully well adjusted. Nala loves attention, enjoys playtime, and quickly bonds with those who show her kindness. Her photos don’t lie: Nala has “good girl” written all over her. She is a combination of sweetness and independence who loves human company and purrs warmly when petted. We have not observed her with dogs, kids or other cats. We think she’d do well with kids who know how to treat cats respectfully. She should be adopted into an interactive home where she’ll get lots of attention and won’t be left unaccompanied for long.
Nala is an adorable little sweetheart with a personality that will fill any home with warmth, love, and fun. She’s ready to leave her difficult past behind and start a new life where she can finally be the one who’s cared for.
She has been spayed, is current on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and treated for worms and fleas. Her adopter will receive her full medical records. She’s being fostered in Lowell. Adoptions are facilitated by video meet-and-greets, as well as in-person visits. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee, which helps us continue rescuing cats in need.
Cats can live up to 20 years, so please consider whether you can commit to providing a safe, loving home for life before adopting. Please email Safercats11@gmail.com with your phone number and a little about yourself and the home you would provide. Doing so helps us match cats with the right adopters.
