This annual event gives us the opportunity to share our Walk in Their Shoes dementia simulation—an immersive, body-based experience that helps caregivers more deeply understand what their loved ones are going through.

Madison Sanborn, our Resident Engagement Director, along with Michelle Carson, Engagement Associate, participated in Community Reading Day at Hoover & Roosevelt Elementary Schools in Melrose! 📚 They had the pleasure of reading to a 1st & 3rd grade classroom and sharing what it truly means to work in resident engagement within senior living. Opportunities like these allow us to connect across generations and continue strengthening ties within our local community.

An exciting and engaging visit from our local heroes! 🐾💙 We were thrilled to welcome Melrose Police Department K-9 team members Sean and Giselle for an interactive chat and demonstration. Residents loved learning about K-9 training, daily duties, and seeing Giselle’s skills in action! Thank you for your service and for bringing such a fun and memorable experience to our community!

Cheers to a spirited afternoon! 🍸✨ Residents, families, and friends joined us for an interactive Mixology Masterclass led by professional mixologist Christine Zachem of Roaming Spirits and Mixology. Guests had a blast learning the art of crafting a classic margarita, cosmopolitan martini, and a refreshing sparkling strawberry lemonade. A perfect blend of creativity, connection, and fun—thank you to everyone who joined us!

Local kindness, big impact 💛 We loved welcoming Melrose Girl Scout Troop 66716 to join our residents for a special Hope Garden Creations workshop! As part of their Media Journey and “Take Action Project,” the troop partnered with residents to spread positivity in a creative way—through kindness rocks. Together, they painted messages of hope, encouragement, and joy that will be placed in our garden and throughout the Melrose community for others to discover. A simple rock can brighten someone’s entire day—and this group is doing just that. 🌼
