Congratulations to Melrose’s four newest officers!

Congratulations to our 4 newest Officers who graduated on Friday from the Massachusetts Municipal Police Training Committee 6th ROC Lynnfield Academy:

Officers Josephine Andruszkiewicz, Adam Caffey, Omar Abbas, and Wilkerson Philogene.

The hiring process for these officers started in late spring of 2024 in which they endured an intensive screening and background process as well as a 24 week Police Academy. All 4 Officers will report on Monday for Field Training in which they will work the next 10-12 weeks alongside a veteran Field Training Officer before they “hit the streets” on their own!

8-WEEK BEREAVEMENT PROGRAM AT INCARNATION CHURCH

How do you go on living when you've lost someone you love and your heart is broken? Where do you find comfort, understanding and some coping skills to help you get through the most difficult time in your life? This spring Incarnation and Most Blessed Sacrament Parishes will co-sponsor an eight-session Bereavement Program. Among the topics are: symptoms of grief, different ways people grieve, dealing with feelings of anger and guilt, and how to get through holidays and special occasions.
During each evening’s presentation there will be time to share, if you so desire.
Meetings will be held at
Incarnation Church, 429 Upham St., Melrose
on the following TUESDAY evenings:
MARCH 11,18, 25; APRIL 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 from 7:00-8:30PM.
Our Reunion Meeting will be on JUNE 3.

Pat McConville, who has training in bereavement and pastoral issues, and Christine Primiano, who is also experienced in supporting the bereaved, will facilitate the group. Please call Pat at 781-454-5394, to find out more about the program or to register. This is a time to come together with others who are also grieving, to better understand what you're experiencing, and to find hope and support in a faith community.
