Happiest 52nd Anniversary to my incredible parents!
I am so grateful for their sacrifices and selfless devotion to our family, and I wanted to share a glimpse of that appreciation here. (They’re pictured in the center.)
In the USSR, my father was a percussionist and my mother a ballet dancer — they met on stage during performances and married at just 18 and 21. They emigrated from the former Soviet Union to escape communism and antisemitism, hoping for a better future. Immigration wasn’t direct — they first went to Israel, then Vienna, and finally made it to the U.S. with my two older siblings, one suitcase, no English, and a couple of hundred dollars.
For years, my father drove a NYC taxi, and my mother worked as a manicurist — all to give us a shot at the American dream. They poured everything into our future, and higher education was always the goal.
On the far left is my sister and her husband — she’s now a respected OB/GYN. In the center is my brother and his wife — he’s a talented cosmetic dentist. And on the far right, that’s me with my beautiful wife. (A rare photo without the kids!)
We are forever indebted to our parents for their courage, hard work, and love — for raising us in this great country where dreams can become a reality.
Thank you, thank you, and thank you. 🙏🙏
