What are the incisions for a breast reduction?

demonstrates the two most common incision types used in breast reduction surgery:

- Lollipop incision - around the ar**la with a vertical line down
- Anchor incision / Wise Pattern incision - around the ar**la, vertically down, and along the breast crease

The incision type is carefully chosen based on your anatomy and how much extra skin there is.

And no matter which approach is used, we guide you through your healing journey and help minimize scarring - so you can feel confident in your recovery and long-term results.

One of the most common questions we hear: “What’s the best age for a breast reduction?”

There isn’t a magic number- but there is a rule of thumb. We want patients to have reached full breast development and be at a stable weight before surgery.

Why? Because this allows for the best, longest-lasting results!

Timing will vary depending on the person but the goal is always the same: balance, comfort, and results you can feel confident in for years to come.
