Help Our Sweet Mason ❤️
Our family is asking for support for our precious 6-year-old nephew, Mason.
Just a short time ago, Mason woke up like any other normal day — laughing, smiling, playing, and full of life. Then suddenly, everything changed.
Mason was diagnosed with Perthes Disease, a rare condition that affects the hip joint. It has taken away so much of his freedom, comfort, and childhood movement overnight.
This week, Mason underwent major surgery and has now been placed in a Petrie cast — both legs casted and connected by a bar in the middle — for at least 6 weeks. He faces more procedures, countless doctor appointments, long hours of physical therapy, possible future surgeries, and a long road toward recovery.
And yet — even with all of this — Mason still smiles.
He still finds a way to laugh.
He still shines with his sweet spirit.
This journey is going to be physically, emotionally, and financially overwhelming. Medical equipment, adaptive devices, specialty transportation, treatment, ongoing therapy, and medical bills will add up into the thousands — likely far beyond what his parents can manage alone.
We want Mason to have every chance for healing, comfort, and a childhood full of hope — not limitation.

Help Our Sweet Mason – His Perthes Battle Begins
Our family is asking for support for my sweet 6-year-old nephew, Mason.
A few months ago, Mason woke up limping – and none of us knew at the time that this was the start of a nightmare.
After weeks of appointments, scans, confusion, and fear, Mason was diagnosed with Legg-Calvé-Perthes Disease – a rare childhood condition where blood supply to the hip joint is disrupted… and the bone actually starts to break down.
Today, Mason underwent major surgery.
He was placed into what is called a Petrie cast – both legs in casts, spread apart with a bar in the middle to hold his hip in the right position.
He will be in this cast for at least 6 weeks.
And this is only the beginning.
Perthes is not a short-term injury.
It’s a long, exhausting, emotional journey that often lasts years – with possible additional surgeries, hours and hours of physical therapy, brace devices to limit movement, mobility equipment, and endless medical appointments.
The financial piece of this disease is overwhelming.
Specialists. Pediatric orthopedic surgeons. Imaging. Bracing. Mobility aids. Continued therapy for years.
We are already looking at hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical care ahead.
And through all of this… Mason continues to smile.
He is the sweetest little boy – pure laughter, pure joy, pure love. He is kind, gentle, and full of life. Even now, in this cast, he is smiling and telling everyone he’s going to “be okay.”
His strength and positivity are inspiring.
But he shouldn’t have to do this alone.
We are asking from the bottom of our hearts — please help us support Mason.

You have stepped into your own with grace, strength, and an unwavering sense of who you are. You have learned to protect your beautiful soul by setting boundaries, yet your heart remains as open and generous as ever.

You are an extraordinary daughter, sister, and friend—but let’s not forget the unbelievable nurse you are in the PICU.
