We're hiring for our Ambulatory Coding & Hospital Coding Departments!
We have FT positions on days for Coder I, Coding Supervisor, and Coding Compliance Coordinator at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital!
The Coder I should be able to code 17 ER visits per hour, 15-20 clinic visits per hour depending on specialty, and 20-25 hospital visits per hour. A minimum of 1-2 years of coding experience is required.
The Coding Supervisor is responsible for the ongoing success of processes related to hospital coding. An associate's degree in Health Information Management is required; a B.S. is preferred. Current certification as RHIT, RHIA, or CCS by AHIMA is required. Supervisory or management experience is preferred.
The Coding Compliance Coordinator is responsible for coordinating coding compliance functions, education of coding specialists, demonstrating competence in all duties of manager and staff members, and assisting in these duties as requested. Completion of RHIA, RHIT, or CCS program accredited by AHIMA or CPC accredited through AAPC is required.
