Our Nursing Mobile Health Unit will be traveling out and about in the coming week.
May 23, 8:00 am - 11:30 am: Bolivar Farmers Market for nutrition education and outreach.
May 27, 10:00 am -1:00 pm: Food Rite in Tiptonville to provide cancer screening.
May 28, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm: Professional Care Services in Ripley, TN, to provide patient care.

It is sports physical season, and our staff will be in Lake and Lauderdale counties this week to provide those services to students!
May 5, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm: Lake County Schools Sports Physicals for middle and high school athletes will be available at 300 Cochran in Tiptonville, TN, 38079.

May 8, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm: Lauderdale Middle Sports Physicals. This service is available to middle school athletes at 321 Armory St., in Ripley, TN, 38063.

Cancer screening outreach schedule for the coming week.

Mark your calendars for upcoming cancer screening outreach by the College of Nursing in Memphis and in Lauderdale County.

May 7, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm: Cordova Family YMCA, 7950 Club Center Dr., Memphis, TN 38016

May 8, 10:30 am - 1:30 pm: Lauderdale County Commission on Aging, 605 Airport St., Halls, TN, 38040

Members of the Mobile Health team were glad to meet with State Commissioner of Health John Dunn, DVM, PhD, EMBA-SL, at the Lake County Health Department last week and give him a tour of the mobile health unit. Commissioner Dunn (right) was accompanied by his executive assistant Misty Hernandez-Perry, and JW Randolph, deputy commissioner for health strategy and regulation.

Congrats to Dr. Rita Hollingsworth!

Congrats to our own Rita Hollingsworth, DNP, FNP-C, AGACNP-C, who was selected as the Health Care Hero in the category of Health Care Provider, Non-Physician, at the Memphis Business Journal awards program last night. Dr. Hollingsworth is the advanced practice nurse who is the primary provider on the UTHSC Nursing Mobile Health unit, serving Lake and Lauderdale counties. The University of Tennessee Health Science Center is proud of you!
