PopCheck Technologies is excited to announce our participation in the 2023 National Institute on Aging - NIH Start-Up Challenge and Accelerator! This challenge focuses on organizations with innovative ideas on how to utilize science to prevent disease, prolong life, and promote health with an additional emphasis placed on improving outcomes from diverse populations including women and people of color. We look forward to learning from the accelerator, our mentors, and other challenge participants.

This program aims to close the gap between academic research, biomedical innovation, commercialization, and entrepreneurship across the Vanderbilt community. The program ended this past Friday with Demo Day where we pitched to a panel of judges and an audience of the greater Vanderbilt and Nashville entrepreneurial ecosystems. Last week Florida passed the Emily Adkins Prevention Act creating a policy workgroup to address the impact of blood clots and implement guidelines for surveillance of blood clots in the state. Emily Adkins died from a pulmonary embolism months after gallbladder surgery and after suffering an ankle fracture. She was only 23 years old.
