💡 What causes side effects in traditional (linear) neurofeedback—and why they don’t happen with NeurOptimal®
Linear neurofeedback (also called protocol-based neurofeedback) works by actively pushing the brain toward certain targeted brainwave patterns. Practitioners use protocols to “reward” or “inhibit” specific brainwave frequencies based on symptoms—like increasing beta waves for focus or reducing theta for hyperactivity.
