“I don’t need OT. My arms are fine.”
“I don’t need occupational therapy. I already have a job.”

🛑Hold on a second!!!🛑 So what even is occupational therapy? An “occupation” is anything that ✨occupies✨ your time: self-care, mobility, school, work, play, etc. OTs help to facilitate a return to your day-to-day activities. OT is more than “just arms!!”

I consider myself to be a holistic practitioner. I can help you with restoration of movement and function in an arm and/or leg after stroke💪🏼🦵🏻; mobility🏃🏻‍♀️ (transfers, bed mobility, walking, stair management); strength; coordination; balance; cognition (memory, attention, problem solving)🧠; and even more!!

Meet the therapist!👩🏻‍⚕️

My name is Cassie Hanson. I graduated with my Doctorate of Occupational Therapy from Arkansas State University in 2018. I worked in inpatient rehab for 5 years, where I discovered my passion for stroke and neuro rehab and decided to turn it into this therapy practice. I have lived in the Memphis area since 2018 with my husband, our 2 German shepherds, and now our little girl on the way. I love occupational therapy and particularly neuro rehab because it allows me to combine my creativity with science. Contact me today to see how I can help you! (901) 657-2189

Mobile outpatient versus home health therapy: what’s the difference, anyway?

Home health therapy is billed through Medicare part A, typically requires a recent hospitalization, requires the patient to be “home bound,” and the primary goal is to advance the patient to be able to leave their house. Typically, home health receives a flat rate per visit, often resulting in shorter therapy sessions.

Mobile outpatient therapy is billed through Medicare part B (and many other insurances) and does not require a recent hospitalization or a “home bound” status. The goal of mobile outpatient therapy is to help patients achieve their maximum potential. We are able to offer one-on-one, 60 minute treatment sessions individualized to our patients’ needs in the convenience of their own home.

Contact us today to see if mobile outpatient therapy is right for you!

Since Mobile Rehab provides in-home physical therapy, it can be easy to confuse it with Home Health. However, the two are very different. What is In-Home Physical Therapy? Mobile Rehab provides in-home out-patient physical therapy…
