Today I’m celebrating two years as the owner of Modern Journey Counseling! 💜😊

As a first-generation Latina business owner, the journey has come with its share of obstacles, but it has also been incredibly meaningful to serve and advocate for communities whose mental health needs are often overlooked. 🗣️

I’m grateful for the support from my community that makes this work possible. And, I’m thrilled to share the day with International Women’s Day and be one of many women therapist leading the fight for mental health awareness! Today we shine a light on the importance of supporting teen mental health. Adolescence can bring big emotions, academic pressure, social stress, and life changes. No teen should have to navigate it alone.

Mental wellness means:
✨ Having a safe space to talk
✨ Learning healthy coping skills
✨ Building confidence and resilience
✨ Feeling heard and understood

If your teen has been feeling overwhelmed, anxious, withdrawn, or just “not like themselves,” support is available. You can help them get connected to mental health clinics in your area with a simple interent search.

Let’s remind our teens today and every day that their mental health matters and asking for help is a sign of strength. 💙
