🎓🏥 Faculty Scholarship Spotlight
We’re proud to highlight research from UTHSC’s Dr. Carlos Clardy examining how simulation-based learning helps prepare students for the transition from the classroom to clinical practice, especially in fast-paced acute care settings.
This study found that participating in realistic patient simulations significantly improved students’ self-efficacy and their ability to learn from failure, two essential skills for future clinicians navigating complex healthcare environments.
Dr. Clardy’s work reinforces the value of hands-on simulation experiences in building confidence, resilience, and readiness for clinical practice!
