The Back To School Drive sponsored by Alpha Memphis Education Foundation with sponsors and vendors supplied parents and students with clear backpacks, school supplies, dental screening, haircuts and free food and refreshments to prepare them for the new school year. Dr. Terrell Cheatham-Carpenter and Kenneth A. Carpenter Sr.from Carpenter Primary Healthcare, PLLC., a yearly participant provided health education and blood pressure screening. We look forward to next year and future events to shine light on our efforts to support the Whitehaven community.

In the United States, a 2019 study estimated that nearly 1 million people are living with multiple sclerosis (MS), more than double previous estimates, and an estimated 200 new cases are diagnosed each week. MS organizations estimate that 2.8 million people in the world have MS.
