Join us for an evening of conversation, community, and leadership.

The NAHSE Memphis Chapter is excited to host Tennessee State Representative Antonio Parkinson for a fireside chat discussing his career journey, public service, and current legislation impacting communities across Tennessee.

The Shelby County Election Commission will also be onsite providing voter registration and education for first-time voters and young professionals.

🖤 Veronica is a Senior Talent Acquisition Project Lead with over 11 years of experience supporting recruiters, leadership and onboarding operations. She specializes in streamlining the onboarding process to ensure compliance, efficiency, and a positive candidate to employee experience.  She is passionateabout creating systems that help organizations and people thrive.

 
✨ Why Representation Matters: Veronica believes that representation matters because it ensures that people from all backgrounds feel seen, valued and given fair access to opportunity.  She also believes that in healthcare, diverse teams bring stronger perspectives, deeper cultural understanding, and better patient care.  In her role, she believes that representation is essential to building inclusive workplaces where individuals can thrive and communities can trust the care they receive.

Today, we honor Linda Hughlett, DNP, RNC, NEA-BC atRegional One Health!

 
🖤 As Chief Nursing Officer and Senior Vice-President of Patient Care Services, Linda provides strategic operational, clinical, and financial leadership across all Inpatient clinical areas at Regional One Health. She’s an accomplished, board-certified professional with over 45 years of nursing experience, and she is known for aligning organizational processes to improve staff retention, satisfaction, and enterprise performance—driving reductions in length of stay and harm events.

Linda earned her Master’s and Doctorate degrees from Vanderbilt University and has received numerous honors throughout her tenure as a nurse, including “Women Who Lead 2023” and “Healthcare Heroes 2023” from the Memphis Business Journal. She is a member of Leadership Memphis Class of 2025 and an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the Mid-South Nursing Leadership Collaborative Group.

 
✨ Why Representation Matters: Linda believes that people of color remain underrepresented in leadership roles across many sectors. When she views leadership today, she believes that representation of people of color—especially women—in executive roles remains limited. That reality drives her commitment to stay informed, relevant, and engaged in changes that impact minority communities. She believes that the progress of African Americans was made possible by those who paved the way, many at great cost, and she strives daily to represent that legacy with excellence.

đź–¤Antonio is an 11-year Army Veteran. As a Pharmacist, he is committed to providing thoughtful, patient-centered care while advocating for equity and access in healthcare. His work is grounded in compassion, education, and the belief that trust is essential to healing. His work also centers oncompassion, education, and trust, while empoweringindividuals to feel seen, heard, and empowered throughout their healthcare journey.

 
✨ Why Representation Matters: Being highlighted during Black History month is meaningful to Antonio because he believes it is important for people to see their reflection in every field of human endeavor. It fosters hope, pride, and a sense of belonging. He feels honored because he gets the opportunity to be an inspiration to someone who thought that their dreams were impossible given their circumstances. He will always encourage people to make their dreams a reality, and he hopes that his story inspires people young and old.
