Dr. Avila graduated from University of Tennessee College of Medicine and completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at University of Missouri-Kansas City. He returned to Memphis to join Dr. Mary Margaret Hurley's Internal Medicine-Pediatrics practice in Germantown, TN. Throughout his training, Dr. Avila was interested in primary care. After medical school, he trained at a top Midwest residency to become an expert in the care of adults and children of all ages. Promoting personal health depends on establishing and maintaining a relationship with your doctor throughout health and illness. Dr. Avila's practice strives to cultivate such a relationship so that you trust your doctor and feel your best.
