Stroke is the second leading cause of death worldwide, and a leading cause of disability.
Mechanical thrombectomy is a breakthrough procedure that can save lives, yet many communities still lack access.

This month, Dr. Violiza Inoa and Dr. Nitin Goyal brought hands-on stroke training to Hanoi, Vietnam, equipping a selected group of physicians from Vietnam, India, and Indonesia with skills that will change patient outcomes for generations.

“Stroke is a treatable condition,” says Dr. Inoa. “When you see how devastating it can be in communities without access to advanced care, you know you have to do something.”
