Dr. Foley was honored to present the inaugural Kevin Foley, M.D. Award for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery Research, recognizing new work advancing the field of spine surgery.

Dr. Paul Park was selected to moderate a national surgical education session, guiding peer discussion on advanced operative techniques and video-based technical refinement. Additionally, Dr. Sonia Eden was selected to moderate a specialty breakout session, guiding peer discussion on emerging research and clinical advances in degenerative spine care.

Dr. Carroll and team performed the first Responsive Neurostimulation (RNS) case at Baptist Memorial Hospital using the NeuroPace system. This is a milestone for epilepsy care in Memphis.

RNS therapy is an advanced treatment for drug-resistant epilepsy. The implanted device monitors brain activity and delivers targeted stimulation to stop seizures before they fully develop, reducing seizure frequency and severity.

This brings specialized epilepsy treatment closer to home for patients who previously would have traveled elsewhere for this care.
