The mission of the Pediatric Pharmacy Association is to advance pediatric pharmacy practice, support the health and wellbeing of children, and promote safe and effective medication use through Collaboration, Advocacy, Research, and Education.

The PPA Advocacy Committee has released a statement renewing PPA’s position of endorsing pediatric pharmacists’ participation in all CPR events involving children.

While we acknowledge several challenges exist when it comes to expanding pharmacy services to resuscitation teams, pediatric pharmacist participation is expected to prevent medication errors and enhance patient and team outcomes.

Childhood Obesity Awareness Month was established in September 2010 by Presidential Proclamation to raise awareness about the health risks and prevention of childhood obesity. It’s a time for families, schools, and communities to focus on healthy eating, physical activity, and preventive care.

The newly updated 2025 KIDs List is available now in JPPT. Several revisions were made to recommendations based on emerging evidence, as well as multiple additions AND removals from the list. Check out the full article for the latest evidence-based recommendations.

The American Academy of Pediatrics announced the publication of their own, independent, evidence-based immunization schedule for infants, children and adolescents. This schedule differs from the CDC schedule, specifically when it comes to recommendations for the COVID-19 vaccine.
