Podium Update! đŸ„ˆ

I snagged 2nd place in the 50–54 age group and got to stand on the podium—woohoo! 🎉

The swim? Total chaos. We had to zigzag and switch lanes at the end of each lap
 not my favorite. 🌀 But I survived.

The bike started strong—until my chain popped off. (Cue dramatic music especially the 2nd time which was at least 3 min and I had to turn my bike upside down.) By the time I got it back on, at least five people had zipped past me. Pretty sure it cost me first place
 I was only 1:24 behind the winner. đŸ˜©

Ah well—next time! I still had a blast, and now I’m completely pooped.

Moral of the story? Keep moving, keep yourself accountable, and sign up for something that pushes you. Your future self will thank you. đŸ’ȘđŸ”„

well, I did it. I contemplated all weekend. it's time to do a triathlon again. who else that's local needs a challenge? guess i better get some miles in because the bike will be the most challenging for me. oh, and it starts at 5:30 a.m. on a Saturday...my sleep in day!

The Tri the Swamp Rabbit is on Saturday July 12, 2025. It includes the following events: Sprint Triathlon, Sprint Relay, Aquabike, and Aquathlon.
