Alliance was invited to tour Woodland Recovery Center's new 130-bed Sober Living facility in East Memphis and it's impressive. Vaulted ceilings, natural light, and spaces designed for healing.

A sober living program is a step between addiction treatment and independent living. People who have recently completed a drug or alcohol rehab program can move into sober living homes. There, they’re surrounded by others who are also focusing on their recovery goals in an environment that promotes sobriety.

Thank you to Ben Dickey and Stacy Dodd for the hospitality. We're excited to explore how Alliance and Woodland can work together to connect more people to the full continuum of recovery care. 🤝

Don't forget to prepare yourself mentally for this winter storm too. We put together a guide to help you weather the weekend safely.

Mental Health Prep:
✅ Prep your space with comfort items (books, games, favorite snacks)
✅ Stay connected with friends and family via phone or video
✅ Keep moving - stretches, dance parties, or safe outdoor play
✅ Balance screen time - stay informed, not overwhelmed

Physical Prep (Home & Car):
✅ Stock up on food, water, medications, and flashlights
✅ Check your car's battery, fluids, and tire tread
✅ Charge all devices and have extra blankets ready
✅ Keep a winter survival kit in your vehicle
✅ Put cardboard on windshield and windows. Your car can act as a safe source for heat and a charging station if you lose power
✅ Fill up a bathtub for water to use to flush as back up.
✅ Open all cupboards with faucets and drip them.
✅ Check fireplace for use.
✅ Fill up water bottles for each family member.

Our Children and Youth Crisis Wellness Center is taking shape. Opening early 2026, this facility will provide 24/7 walk-in crisis services for kids ages 4-17 experiencing mental health emergencies.
