We just met Murphy, the comfort dog who helps patients feel at ease during treatment at Memphis Outpatient Detox. 🐾

We visited Memphis Outpatient Detox this week to talk about how we can partner to serve more people in our community who need detox and recovery support. 🤝

Their team provides medically supervised outpatient detox, therapy, and medication-assisted treatment right here in Memphis. Together, we can connect more people to the care they need. Check them out here: 🔗 detoxinmemphis.com

We were proud to be in the room for this one.

Last Friday, our team attended SCN Talks 2026 at Hope Church Memphis. It was a powerful morning of short talks bridging mental health, addiction recovery, and faith.

Topics ranging from therapist burnout and neurodiversity to the intersection of faith and science in healing. Every talk reinforced something we see every day at Alliance: lasting change happens when mental health providers, addiction recovery professionals, and faith communities work together.

Thank you to the Spiritual Care Network, the speakers, and every organization that showed up.

Our clinical team recently completed play-based therapy training led by Dr. Susan Elswick at our Crisis Wellness Center, exploring sand tray, movement, and expressive arts techniques.

Play therapy isn't just for children. These evidence-based approaches help clients of all ages process experiences that are difficult to put into words, making them a powerful tool in behavioral health care.

Last week, Eli Allen from our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team visited Career Day at Bon Lin Elementary School. He gave students a glimpse into what a career in behavioral health can look like.

Our ACT team works directly in the community every day, providing wraparound mental health support to individuals with serious mental illness. It's person-centered care at its best. https://www.alliance-hs.org/program/assertive-community-treatment-(act)

Shoutout to Eli for representing Alliance and inspiring the next generation of helpers.

Wrapping up Black History Month with so much pride. 💚❤️🖤💛

Our Crisis Wellness Center team came together for Unity Day, wearing red, black, green, and yellow to celebrate diversity, honor heritage, and stand in solidarity with the community we serve.

This is what care looks like at Alliance. We're proud of every person on this team.

We were proud to welcome the team from Delta Specialty Hospital to our Crisis Wellness Center on Broad Avenue last week.

Giving our partners a firsthand look at our crisis response services is something we genuinely value. The Delta Specialty Hospital team took time to learn about how we support individuals in mental health crisis across our community, and we appreciated the thoughtful conversations about how we can work together to create more seamless transitions of care for the people we both serve.

Partnerships like this one are essential to building a true continuum of care in Memphis. When behavioral health and hospital systems are aligned, patients experience better outcomes, and our community is stronger for it.

Thank you to the Delta Specialty Hospital team for your time, your curiosity, and your commitment to getting this right alongside us. We look forward to continuing to grow this partnership.

We are proud to announce the promotion of Elizabeth (Liz) Fletcher, LMSW, to Grants Manager at Alliance Healthcare Services.

Liz brings nearly two decades of experience in homeless services and community-based programs to this role.

She began her career in 2007 while completing her Master of Social Work degree at the University of Memphis, and has since supervised multiple permanent supportive housing programs serving veterans and chronically homeless individuals with disabilities across Shelby County.

A long-standing contributor to the Memphis/Shelby County Continuum of Care (MSCCoC), Liz has participated in and chaired multiple committees over the years, giving her a deep understanding of the funding landscape, community partnerships, and systems-level coordination that will be central to her work as Grants Manager.

Samantha Hammonds, LCSW, Vice President of Compliance and Special Programs, shared: "I am excited about the experience and passion Liz brings to this role. Her expertise in grants management and her involvement in the community will be greatly advantageous to her in this role."

At Alliance, we are proud to grow leaders from within who are rooted in the community and committed to our mission. Congratulations, Liz!

Our Crisis Wellness Center has been named a finalist for the 2026 Memphis Business Journal Building Memphis Awards!

The Crisis Wellness Center represents innovative architecture that serves the purpose of providing a welcoming, dignified environment for individuals experiencing behavioral health crises.

This achievement reflects the exceptional collaboration between Alliance, Turner Construction Company, and brg3s Architects. Together, we brought to life a facility that sets a new standard for crisis care infrastructure in our community.

The Building Memphis Awards honor the Mid-South's most elegant and thoughtful construction projects. Finalists and winners will be celebrated at the awards ceremony on Tuesday, March 31, at the Memphis Botanic Garden

Thank you to our incredible partners and to everyone who believed in this vision. When we invest in thoughtful design for behavioral health facilities, we invest in the dignity and well-being of every person we serve.
