Prioritizing your child’s health is essential at every stage of their growth! Here’s why regular visits to your pediatrician matter:

Annual Wellness Exam: Essential for monitoring your child’s growth and development. It includes a thorough physical check-up, assessment of emotional and social concerns, and important screenings.

Sports Physical: Even if not required for school activities, it’s crucial for addressing exercise-specific issues such as injuries, nutrition, and training. It also helps ensure your child’s readiness for sports.

Build a Medical History: A long-term relationship with your pediatrician helps track your child's progress and catch any emerging health issues. Accurate records will also help with school forms and vaccination updates.

Adolescent Care: Puberty is a critical time for health and development. Regular check-ups during this period help manage the changes and any related concerns.

Why It Matters:
-Ensures up-to-date vaccinations and health records.
-Provides an opportunity to discuss diet, exercise, and other health topics.
-Supports overall well-being and readiness for school and extracurricular activities.

Make this back-to-school season a time for both academic and health readiness. Schedule your child’s wellness and sports physical today!

Your baby’s first movements are more than just adorable—they’re important reflexes that help with survival and development! Here’s a quick guide to some of the key reflexes you’ll notice in your newborn:

Rooting Reflex: When you stroke your baby’s cheek, they turn toward your hand, helping them find the ni**le for feeding.

Sucking Reflex: Present even before birth, babies instinctively suck when something is placed in their mouth, ensuring they can feed.

Moro (Startle) Reflex: Sudden movements or loud noises cause your baby to extend their arms, legs, and neck before bringing their arms together in response.

Tonic Neck Reflex (Fencing Posture): When your baby turns their head, their arm on that side straightens while the other bends, resembling a fencer’s stance.

Grasping Reflex: Stroke their palm or sole, and watch them grip your finger or curl their toes.

Stepping Reflex: If you hold your baby upright, they will try to “step” when their feet touch a surface, an early sign of walking!

These reflexes naturally develop into more controlled actions as your baby grows. Keep an eye on them, and don’t hesitate to reach out to your pediatrician if you have concerns!
